A shooting that involves a police officer outside the Pearson International Airport of Toronto cut the traffic that goes to terminal 1, authorities said on Thursday.

Peel Regional Police said in a social media post that a man was shot and the officer was not injured. The shooting occurred outside the terminal.

Peel’s paramedics say they received a request to attend the airport at 6:56 am and no one was transported to the hospital, but did not confirm if someone had died.

A Canadian press photograph of the scene seemed to show a body under a yellow canvas outside the departure area of the airport terminals.

“There is an isolated incident and there are no security threats for public security,” Peel Regional Police said in a statement.

The Provincial Police of Ontario said the roads are closed from Highway 409 to terminal 1.

The video posted on social networks on the early Thursday seemed to show a great police presence outside the airport.

The cars seemed to be supported along the road that leads to the terminal.
