Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a maximum of 40 points of the playoffs race when Oklahoma City Thunder stole the attempted return of the fourth quarter of the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.
The recent NBA MVP also had 10 rebounds and nine assists in game 4 of the final conference. The 128-126 victory of Thunder on Sunday night took the T’wolves to the edge of the elimination.
The Thunder will take a dominant advantage of 3-1 to its local court on Wednesday when the series returns to Oklahoma City.

Jalen Williams scored 34 points, while Chet Holmgren added 21 points, seven rebounds and three blockages in a statement game in his hometown that helped the Thunder stop several thrusts of the T’wolves to tie the series.

Gilgeous-Alexander made a couple of free shooting with 6.1 seconds to stretch the advantage of the thunder back to three.

OKC committed a foul to Anthony Edwards with 3.5 seconds removering, and his intentional failure of the second free throw to try to maintain possession was tracked in the corner by Gilgouses-Alexander and thrown from the limits in an attempt to drain the clock.
Minnesota had a more incoming pass with 0.3 seconds stirring that Williams grabbed, while the Thunder tok another step towards the NBA finals.

Edwards was limited to 16 points, and Julius Randle was also bottled by the relentless defense of Thunder. Randle finished game 4 with only five points.
