The whole gag plays one of Alexei’s previous lines, where he longs to be in a team of heroes that people will love and respect to the point where they obtain that final award: a place in the front of a bleach box. Now that Thunderbolts have been qualified as the new Avengers and have a public role as heroes, that dream has been fully made.
