The club have won the T20 Blast, One Day Cup and Women’s County Championship during his time in charge.

Storey moved to Kent in 2019 after seven years in charge at Derbyshire, where the club hosted the Women’s World Cup in 2017.

Kent will begin their search for his replacement next month, the club said.

“It is the right time now for me, and my ever-supportive family, to step aside and allow a new CEO to bring fresh perspectives, harness the skills of our board members and lead our talented and committed executive team,” Storey told the club’s website., external

“The new cricket landscape promises real opportunity and I am looking forward to being able to contribute to the future strategic development of cricket in Kent, as well as helping the board, who could not have been more supportive of my decision, in their search for my successor.”

The club said Storey would continue to work as CEO until the end of the season, helping the board to secure his successor, “before moving into a part-time strategic advisory and external development role with the club”.

Kent begin their County Championship Division Two campaign away to Northamptonshire on Friday, 4 April.
