The president of the United States, Donald Trump, said Wednesday that he has “potential” trade agreements with India, South Korea and Japan, since he seeks to convert his tariff policy into commercial agreements.
In a town hall at the Newsnation Telort, Trump was asked when he would announce agreements with those three countries. “We have possible offers,” he said.
Trump said he was in no hurry to conclude the agreements because the United States is reaping the benefits of the tariffs he has imposed.
“I’m less hurry than you. We are sitting in the catbird seat. They love us. We don’t need them,” he said.
