Toshiba signs MoU with Telangana to invest ₹562 crore in expanding manufacturing capacity

Toshiba’s transmission and distribution systems sign Mou with the Telangana government for the investment of ₹ 562 million manufacturing expansion rupees.

Toshiba Energy Systems said Monday that his arm toshibision has signed an initial pact to invest around ₹ 562 million rupees to expand the manufacturing capacity in Telangana.

The memorandum of the firm of understanding (MOU) was a hero in Tokyo in the presence of the Telengana Prime Minister, Anumula Revanth Reddy and Hiroshi Furuta, president and managing director of Toshiba Transmission and Distribution Systems (TTDI). Limited private).

TTDI, a subsidiary of Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation (Japan), has signed the MOU with the Telangana government on April 18, 2025, to advance its previously announced investment of Billoacture of Man JPY, by expanter according to a statement.

“This MOU will strengthen the manufacturing footprint of Toshiba in India and will contribute to the local development of employment and skills. With strong support from the Telangana government, we are ready to accelerate our manufacturing and delivery capabilities and delivery and delivery and delivery a world,” Furuta said.

As part of the agreement, the investment is expected to propose from ₹ 562 million rupees to generate around 250 direct jobs around three years since fiscal year 2010, which further contributes to the socioeconomic development of the region.

TTDI and the Telangana government have also expressed their intention to explore future opportunities for growth and diversification, while jointly advancing the skills development initiatives to promote local and strong talent that the industrial ecosystem in the state.

The Strategic Mou reaffirms Toshiba’s long -term commitment to India and strengthens its alignment with the ‘Make In India’ and ‘Export of India’ initiatives through a significant investment to expand the TTDI manufacturing footprint in Hyderabad.

This includes expanding assembly and test capabilities for distribution and power transformers, with an approach to satisfying the growing demand in India and increasing export capabilities.

The investment will also establish an avant -garde installation to improve vertical integration, reduce delivery times and improve quality, safety and efficiency in the workplace.

With a strong focus on quality, innovation and sustainability, TTDI has exported transformers made in India to more than 50 countries, consolidating its role as a global center for T&D teams.
