We Tried to Oust Netanyahu After October 7, Through Elections or ‘God Knows What’

Ilan Goldenberg, a former assistant of President Joe Biden, told Channel 13 of Israel that the Biden administration tried to expel Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the terrorist attack of October 7, 2023 by Hamas.

Channel 13 interviewed Goldenberg, noting that while Biden administration officials had been reluctant to speak in the early days of the Trump administration for fear of remuneration, they now tell their history.

Goldenberg, who directed the efforts of the Biden Administration to sanction the right -wing Israelis, and that he was later the director of Jewish dissemination for the presidential campaign of Vice President Kamala, told Channel 13 that the White House Biden hoped to use temporal popularity 7 of the impopularity, to force the political change in Israel, special after Hamas early.

Goldenberg suggested that the Biden administration was so willing to consider non -democratic means to eliminate Netyahu (added emphasis):

There are many people who spoke, even in the oval office, sometimes, the idea of, such as, the president coming out and giving a speech. … [Opposition leader] Benny Gantz was 37 years old [seats] And Bibi had about 15 [in polls]Good? As, hey, it was very weak. Joe Biden was still incredible popular in Israel.

…

The war can end, get all the hostages, get a treatment that even includes, you know, maybe even try to have Hamas elements to leave, or keep doing what you are doing, and Israel is in a war forever, you know, your sons and daughters will continue fighting, most hostages will return home. … the idea would be to force Netanyahu to acquire that, or pull Israeli politics, and see if you can activate the elections, or God knows what. That is what people said, as, we break this’ it causes you not to go anywhere well.

Goldenberg’s claims corroborate the historical record. In March last year, President Biden supported a strange call by the then leader of the majority of the inhabitants Chuck Schumer (D-NY) so that the Israelis expel Netanyahu in new elections.

But Netanyahu’s popularity recovered in Israel when he challenged and launched an offensive to Rafah, a city on the border of Gaza with Egypt, rescued the hostages and finally killed the leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar.

He had no point where the Biden administration had sufficient commitments of Hamas to know if the agreement described by Goldenberg would have a real place; Hamas rejected almost all deals, and never promised to free all Israeli hostages.
