Non-life insurers’ gross direct premium up 6.11% at ₹3.07 lakh cr in FY25

The GDP of the general insurers grew 5.10 percent to ₹ 2,57,861 million rupees in the year under review compared to ₹ 2.45,343 million rupees in the same period of the previous year

Gross Direct Premium (GDP) subscribed by general insurers increased by 6.11 percent in the financial year that ended on March 31, 2025 to ₹ 3.07,381 million rupees compared to ₹ 2.89,673 million rupees in the previous fiscal year.

According to the flash figures of the GDP of insurers that are not from life released by the Development Authority and Insurance Regulatory of India on Wednesday, GDP of general insurers grew 5.10 percent to ₹ 2.57,861 million rupees in the year of 343 years.

Independent private health GDP increased 15.99 percent to ₹ 38,413 million rupees (₹ 33,118 million rupees), while GDP of specialized PSU insurers decreased 0.93 percent to ₹ 11.106 (₹ 11.211 crore) the axis by insurance regulator dates. There are 3 non -life insurers registered in the country.
