McNeil, with an oblique injury, played the second of the consecutive games with Binghamton on Sunday and had four hits, including a home run and a double.

The METS have been without both headlines since they fell with the spring training of injury, but they have received stellar performances from Luis Torrens behind the dish and Luisangel Acuña has been on the second base.

Acuña had two hits in Sunday’s 7-4 victory over the cardinals, extending her batting streak to eight games.

“It’s like having another initial boy down there [in the lineup]”Said Francisco Lindor about Acuña, who hit sixth on Sunday and scored an insurance race at the bottom of the eighth.

“They were throwing a hits against me from the right side,” “Lindor joked.” Now I am not zero on that side. They say that successes come in clusters. We will see what happens. At least there is one on the board. “

Before Brandon Nimmo appeared with a key rbi blow on Sunday, Mendoza said he was sure that the left gardener was going to leave his recently fallen.

“I thought at some point on road trip, he was a bit aggressive and left there and swing in many first releases, which is intentional,” Mendoza said. “We got used to some of those games with a game plan to attack launchers staff and we didn’t get results in general, including Nimmo. But I like where it is, as special in the last games …”
