Reduced to part-time status for the first time in his career, Mars, who shares DH duties with Jesse Winker, has an anemic line of .184/.273/.316 cutting in 44 plaque advances after going 1-4 on Saturday.
After 12 seasons as headline, the veteran gardener is learning to deal with the reduced workload.
