Databricks has just taken another company from AI.
This week, the data analysis giant announced an acquisition of NEON of $ 1 billion, a startup building an open source alternative to AWS Aurora Postgres. It is the latest in a high -profile shopping wave, joining mosaicml and tabular, since Databricks positions ITELF as the place to build, deploy and climb Native AI applications.
Today, in the Equity podcast of Techcrunch, it houses Kirsten Korosec, Max Zeff and Anthony have unpacked the Databricks-Neon agreement, where postgre technology without Neon server fits the largest vision, and if $ 1 billion still tells how “much money” these days (Smuberer: Kirsten and Anthony are in the worth).
