Last week, I arrived in Paris for a mixture of work and pleasure, and the city seemed more beautiful than ever! Here are some photos, if you want to see …
In the past, I have visited mainly Paris in the winter, so it was a pleasure to spend time there in spring. The parks exploded with flowers, and the babies turned in the grass.
Some friends could also join, which was really fun.
Interested in the house of a family in the 11th district, a beautiful neighborhood that feels relaxed and residential.
Guess who, but do it French!
Every morning he started in a coffee, like Boot Café at Marais.
How beautiful are your stackable circus stools?
We stopped to have coffee so many times on the trip that became a joke. We walk a few blocks, we have coffee, walk some more blocks and then sit in a coffee …
Another morning, we venture to the 7th district, near the Eiffel Tower and the Rodin Museum.
Morgane’s brown shirt; My striped shirt
For breakfast, I was delighted to go to the apartment of Morgane Sezalory, founder and creative director of Sezane, who has met for years. Sitting in your kitchen, we talk about many things: family, divorce, work, love, aging, children, nothing feeling out of the table. I was doing 40 years in a few days, so we talked about the panic that comes before and the calm that comes next, haha.
She put a berries, and soon united her very spongy cat.
Then, feeling inspired, I wandered around the nearby Tazane store, full of embroidery dresses, width leather jeans …
… And these beautiful shoes!
Other stores that we loved were Merci (a three -story conceptual store), Bonton (clothing and toys for children) and Mélodie Graphiques (a stationery store).
Another afternoon, we headed to David’s hockey exhibition at Fondation Louis Vuitton. He is 87 years old and still uses its characteristic round lenses.
We passed through the room after the room full of paintings, I kept entering a new space and saying “Wow!” Out loud without realizing it. The colors of Saturday! The English field! The gaze of a thousand yards!
One of my favorite paintings play an entire wall, above is just a small part, and highlighted people in the art exhibition. I am not a great dog person, but that bulldog stole my heart.
We also had a magical lunch in Mokonuts, which can be the best restaurant in Paris (a bold statement, I know).
Property of a husband and a wife – Moko Hirayama and Omar Koreitem – The little jewel is open only for lunch, and the small menu changes daily. We devour Labneh with spongy pita, crispy asparagus, grilled squid and pork on explosive green peas. [Update from a reader named Morgan: Mokonuts is publishing a cookbook in September!]
It was one of those long and long meals in which the conversation serpent from the raising of the children of parenting to business accounting until people speak dirty in bed, haha. Meanwhile, among bites, we all continue to exclaim: “This is the most delicious food I have had”, and “my God, is this the best restaurant in Paris? … The world?”
Finally, on our last night, we stay at home. (Sometimes, while traveling, it’s very good to do nothing, don’t you think? Then we saw a couple of episodes of Four Seasons, as one does.
The whole trip felt so good. Althegh Vie return to the Biños Grumpy (“Never go again!”) And a week of Jetlag (“It’s 3 in the morning in Paris right now!”), My heart felt full and blunt with female friendship and passion for travel. If you have Legs to Paris or live there, what are your coms? Where do you like to travel? I would love to listen.
We are also making another jo post today about the color of the clothes I saw everywhere and A big salad problem tomorrow about things we saw the people who used in Paris, so register here, if you are interested. Thank you so much! Xoxo
