Stonehenge of Brisbane: ‘Mammoth’ unfinished house resembling ancient ruins rocks the market

A half construction house in a huge block in western Brisbane has gone on sale, opening the next chapter in the 17 years of epic construction history.

Rising from the lush green fields in the west outside of Brisbane, which at first might seem to be the ruins of an ancient civilization is, in fact, an unfinished mansion that has just reached the market.

Occupy a block of 10,000 square meters, 29 landing place, Moggill is in a marked contrast with the luxurious acreal houses in the quiet semi-rural suburb.

The property, announcing offers greater than $ 1.2 million, includes the incomplete shell of a mansion that has been under construction since 2008.

Described in the list as a “blank canvas, hoping to be transformed into its vision”, the house includes a concrete slab, brick walls and not much more.

The current owners had plans to expand the construction, but instead they have listed the unfinished house for sale. Image: Realestate.com.au/buy

It is not the first time that the property is sold in an incomplete state, according to the re -selling agent Liam Workman of Re/Max.

“He was previously unfinished when the current owners bought it,” he said.

“They sought to continue with renewal and decided to extend it and turn it into a gigantic home.”

“They were looking to include seven rooms, seven bathrooms, two kitchens, a pool and a complete landscape.”

“But new opportunities have emerged, so now it is on sale.”

The property was last negotiated in 2023 for $ 900,000 as a six -bedroom house, although perhaps surprisingly, it was in a more complete state at that time, with a roof, internal walls, a ladder and even some bathroom accessories.

However, most of that has been stripped to accommodate the expanded plans of current owners, which since then have been filed on the legs.

Mr. Workman said that despite being only partial, the property had a lot of potential and that he would probably would attract a buyer with construction history.

“It looks a bit like Stonehenge,” he said. “[But] If someone complete, it will be absolutely incredible. “

An alternative would be to demolish the removable structure and start again with a new complete home, Workman said.

“It is a rarity to have the opportunity of 10000qsm or flat lands that near Brisbane CBD.”

The list establishes that the property is being sold in its current state of completion, and that any additional plan, permit or work of the possible buyer is the responsibility of the possible buyer.

The average sale price for houses in Moggill is $ 1.2 million, according to Protrack, which is approximately 24% higher than a year ago.
