What Are Your Favorite Baby Names?

2025 popular names for babies

A COJ reader named Apple asked a question where I can’t stop thinking …

“Can Jo’s cup please write another baby name post?

*Well*, I also have legs hung in the baby’s name, this October, my husband Max and I will welcome our third baby, a sweet girl! We are very excited, and these days of all we are talking about is who we think will look like our new little Pepita, how Emiliano is going to be an older brother and what we believe will say that the first time he meets his little sister.

But the theme that keeps us awake late speaking in bed? The name of babies. We have attacking the legs trying to come with a name that adjusts, and you, we are fighting!

Back with our first baby, she

We had solid plans when we call her and Emiliano. As soon as we saw the double lines in our pregnancy test for the first time, both Max and I agreed that if sex was a woman, I would choose the name since I already had three names that I worshiped (she, Ilana and Remy). If I were a child, Max could choose the name. Since I ended up obtaining the rights of the names with her, we made a pact that if we had a second child, Max would get Dibs with the first name. He always knew that Hed to name a son Emiliano, a spin-off or his full-Maximilian name. So, during my second pregnancy, Max looked at me with the biggest smile after opening our doctor’s email and reading “the presence of a chromosome and predicts a male fetus.”

This time, he thought, we are trying to decide a name together. For inspiration, I have been marking the name of each woman I hear on television, read in books and see on Instagram. We also observed the 2023 list of the most popular Names of US Social Security. UU. The 10 main names for girls were:

– Olivia
– Emma
– Charlotte
– Amelia
– Sophia
– Mia
– Isabella
– Ava
– Evelyn
– Moon

The 10 best names for children were:

– Liam
– Noah
– Oliver
– Jaime
– Elijah
– Matthew
– Theodore
– Henry
– Lucas
– William

We still have five months to make a rain of ideas, but so far we love the names Aaliyah (after the singer) and Margot (short and sweet). I also liked Joaquin’s name for a child, because it sounds very strong.

Now I would really love to know: in what names of babies are these days? Would you name your baby after a relative or place? Or what about a fictional character? I want to know!

PS: Why did my husband and I gave our daughter my last name ‘and 10 ways to help a new mother?
