Struggle

  • Russian President Vladimir Putin praised what he said was the complete failure of an offensive by the Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region of Russia after Moscow said he had been expelled from the last village they had been holding.

  • The Chief of the General Personnel of Russia, Valery Gerasimov, has confirmed for the first time that North Korean soldiers have fought with the Russian troops in Kursk, praising their “courage and heroism” to help expel Ukrainians.

Diplomacy and politics

  • The FSB security service said that a suspect about the murder of the Russian military officer Senior Yaroslav Moskalik for a automobile bomb was detanrated. Kremlin has blamed Ukraine for murder. There were no official Kyiv comments about the attack.
