The new graduates represented only 7% of the new hiring in 2024, 25% less than 2023 and more than 50% of pre-pandemics levels in 2019. Meanwhile, in new companies, the rate of new graduates hired fell from 30% in 2019 to less than 6% in 2024.

Asher Bantock, Chief of Research of Signalfire, said Techcrunch That there is “convincing evidence” that AI is a significant reason for the decrease in technological roles of entry level. He explained that entry level work is more vulnerable to automation because they consist of routine tasks that AI can take over. For example, AI can encode and conduct financial investigations.

Dario Amodei, the 42 -year -old CEO or $ 61.5 billion starting at Anthrope, said Axios On Wednesday that within the next one to five years, IA could eliminate half or all white -collar input work and make unemployment increase to 10% to 20%. Earlier this year, AI could write “Essential and all the code” for large companies within next year.

“On the side of the works of this [AI]I have a good amount of group, “said Amodei at an event of the Foreign Relations Council in March, according to Business intern.

The AI will impact industries such as technology, finance and law, predicted amodei. The majority of workers won recognize the dangers caused by AI until they have tasks of their work, he said.

“Most of them do not know that this is about to happen,” Amodei told Axios. “It sounds crazy, and people simply do not believe it.”

Research from the American Expert Group The Brookings institution shows that AI could replace more than half of the tasks carried out by entrance level roles, including market research analysts, graphic designers and sales representatives. In comparison, the most senior roles have an automation risk up to five times lower.

Meanwhile, Harvard Business Review He estimates that AI will affect 50 million jobs in the coming years, automating some roles while adding to workers’ skills in others.
