LIC Housing Finance Ltd (LIC HFL) has decided to reduce its prime housing loan rate (HPLR) in 25 basic points with effect as of April 28.Revised mortgage loans will now start from 8 percent against 8.25 percent now. The HPLR cut follows the recent 25 BPS policy rate rate by the Indian Reserve Bank of 6.25 percent to 6.00 percent.
