The Pacific Group real estate company will develop a 15 Lakh square feet shopping center and a hotel in Jaipur to expand businesses amid the growing demand for premium retail spaces, said a senior company official.
Pacific Group has nine shopping centers, which comprise more than 30 lakh square feet of retail spaces, in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Dehradun.
In an interview with PTI, the managing director of the Pacific Group, Abhishek Bansal, said: “We have a portfolio or nine shopping centers and now we are expanding in Jaipur, Rajasthan.” He said the company has acquired a 11 acres land in Jaipur to develop a shopping center with a total area or approximately 15 LAKH SQ FT.
Pacific Group will also build a hotel that includes 130 rooms, said, that the hotel will be managed by a hospitality chain.
Bansal said there is a great demand for commercial centers and higher hotels in cities of level II and III.
He said that the shopping center in Jaipur is expected to be operational for the end of 2026, while the hotel will open in 2027.
“We have begun the process of leasing space for retailers,” Bansal said.
In the nine existing retail properties, he said that these shopping centers are doing good business.
He pointed out that the food and drink segment (F&B) has very well in recent years.
Pacific Group has four shopping centers in Delhi, two each in Dehradun and Faridabad, and one in Ghaziabad.
When asked about the future expansion plan, Bansal said the company is focusing on completing this Jaipur project.
“Once the construction of Jaipur Mall reaches the progress stage, we will look for land for commercial expansion.” Bansal remains optimistic about the growth perspective of retail sale organized in India, which said it is constantly evolving.
